With the element of surprise on your side you rush the first guard, slicing his throat open with one dagger and sticking the other in his heart before he can lift his halberd. The second guard reacts slowly, too slowly. You sprint and roll under the swing of his halberd and slice his thigh from groin to knee before driving both daggers into his chest. He collapses into the ground below, and you lift the key to the gate from his pocket. You walk towards the gate when you feel a sharp pain in your calf. You cry out in surprise and spin around to see the guard you just "killed" with his hand clasped around the hilt of a knife now buried in your leg. Before you can react he shoves the knife even deeper before dying. You scream in pain, the tip of the knife now pokes through the front of your leg, and you collapse on the ground. Guards come running out the gate in force now, and despite your efforts to flee you can't hobble away fast enough and are caught. You spend the next three days in a cell before succumbing to an infection due to your untreated wound.
