Perfect. Now you can search this place in peace.
You begin to carefully search the drawers and cupboards of the hut. It is very empty; perhaps whoever locked the woman up robbed her themselves. All find is two gold pieces and a pouch containing soft brown sand. Worthless.
You toss the sand back into the cupboard, but pocket the money, then turn to go. The woman snores quietly away as you slip out of the hut. You retrace your steps to the last junction, where you turn to take the path to Humpus.
The path continues on between trees, growing narrower. Perhaps Humpus is an abandoned village, or a burial ground, or a place of justice? It certainly seems that people do not often come this way.
You walk for several hours, following the twists and turns of the path through the trees. Then suddenly, you stop. You have heard a noise up ahead. Something is moving around between the rocks at the edge of the path.
You hang back, watching the trees. There is definitely something moving around – something large, and long, with a tail that whips between the trees. But now that you've seen it, you're at a definite advantage.
