You step back and place a firm kick right next to the doorknob. You follow it up with another, harder kick and hear some faint cracking as pieces of the door give way. You kick it several more times, kicking harder each and every time until with a loud crack the door is torn open. Bits and pieces of wood scatter across the floor as the doorknob clings to the door itself by a thread.

You rush inside, up the stairs to your room, and head straight for where you store your emergency credit card. With mere minutes to spare your money is now within your grasp.
