R: Investigate about 'I remember you coming back..'

"What happened after I won the championship?" You ask the voice politely, hoping not to anger him.
"What happened?" The voice replies, "Why on earth would I tell you?"
"Because I need to know what I was like before, so I can change myself to become better in the future." You aren't really going to change, you just want to know what you did.
He doesn't answer straight away, but eventually he answers your question. "Well... if you say it like that. Alright, I might as well tell you the story."
You can hear him move in his chair, bracing himself to tell the story. "When you were younger, you weren't exactly the nicest of sorts towards me. That day was even worse than the others. When you came up to me that afternoon, I was just finishing off a boss battle in Final Fantasy on my Playstation 1. That was one of the hardest bosses I've ever faced in my entire life, I spent hours upon hours just trying to kill him. By the time you saw me, the monster was almost dead, literally! The closest I have ever been to killing him."
You hear a small sigh followed by a sniffle, he might be tearing up.
"Then, you just come along with your trophy with all your soccer teammates saying crap like 'Hey! You can never be better than me!', 'I bet if you joined the team we would have lost.', then you started to swear. I then paused the game and tried to make a snappy comeback. I couldn't remember what I said exactly, but it was really bad. You and all your friends started to laugh at me. Then you noticed that I was still fighting the boss."
The amount of sniffles increase even more, looks like he's crying now. This is bad, what did you do?
"You moved to the TV. I immediately realised that you were going to turn off the console. So I ran towards you, but I was stopped and held by your stupid friends. They were all sneering and cussing me. I tried, oh how I tried to escape the hold, but I couldn't, I just couldn't do it. As you went to press the off button, I just closed my eyes. By that time I was crying heavily while your buddies were laughing there asses off. You included."
You actually did that. How could you? Were you really that mean? You begin to feel sorry for this guy who's kidnapped you.
"Look, I'm so sorry." You apologize, "I'll make sure I'll never do something that cruel again."
"You better."
