you cant help but sigh on the inside. while this is by far the most interesting customer you have had all day, nay week, he is still interrupting your lunch. you were almost there, you could even smell your delicious sandwich..
oh well. put it down.
you are about to when you pause, realizing that you have thrown the plastic wrap away and will have to set it on the paper bag. you continue to set the sandwich down only to pause again and consider this:
the paper bag was implemented so as to further protect the contents and keep them in one spot. on your way here you put that paper bag down in several places including the roof of your car as well as the passenger seat, several counters, the surfaces in the fridge, ect.. so far the bag has protected the contents well when it had contents. but now you want to put the sandwich on the exterior of the bag, where it would be just as good as if you had put the sandwich itself on those surfaces? no. no you will not, that's not logical.
(toot) THE CRAZY MEXICAN sees you hesitating and blows his noise maker to assure your paying attention to him, you think.
put the sandwich back into the bag enough to be completely inside and touching only paper.
can i hold this sandwich with one hand and just ring this guy up with my other?
