Pull with all her might against the light fixture?

Alison grabs hold of the exposed wire and lifts her legs, forcing her entire weight upon the light fixture as she dangles in mid-air. The wire almost immediately snaps, sending both Alison and light fixture crashing to the ground. Unfortunately for Alison the light bulb hits the ground first shattering it into a thousand pieces, many of which slice into Alison's shins and feet.

The pain is excruciating but what's worse is the crashing and banging sounds as they echo throughout the room. Alison's heart sinks as heavy footsteps thud against the wood floor above her.

Does Alison:

• Try to remove her hands from the handcuffs
• Try to locate an exit in the sudden darkness
