Pull back the curtains

You quickly pull back the curtains, unsure what to expect. To your dismay you are greeted with the bleak, gray blanket of fog keeping you from seeing anything beyond the glass. From what you can tell it is probably early morning, but the thick coat of fog keeps you from telling exactly what time of day it is. You close the curtains and turn away. Perhaps you should do something else. A clipboard rests on the end table of what used to be your hospital bed.
