Planet of the Apes/Escape the ship
From Create Your Own Story
You instruct your remaining crew to hit the emergency eject switch and a large panel blows off of the ship. You, Landon and Dodge grab your survival kits, climb the ladder out of the ship and jump into an inflatable raft, also ejected from the ship.
"Where are we?" asks Landon as you row through a canyon.
"The question is not so much where we are as when we are," replies Dodge.
"We weren't programmed to land in the water," notes Landon, "so we don't really know, do we?"
He's right. You truly do not know where you are. All you know is that it is the year 3978. Landon's hair has begun to go grey, but apart from that, he looks fairly chipper for a man who's over 2,000 years old.
You soon come ashore. You open your survival kit and Dodge commences a soil test while Landon stares out at sea. You have one pistol, twenty rounds of ammo, a medical kit, a camera, along with enough food and water to last you three days each.
You call Landon over and begin talking to him. Everything you two have ever known is dead and gone after this 2,000 year trip. He has a difficult time coming to terms with that. Just as you finish talking, Dodge informs you that nothing will grow in the soil here, though there is no dangerous ionization. Still, if you are to survive, you need to find life--and fast!
Which way do you go?
- North, through the mountains.
- West, through the desert.
- South, along the beach.
- East, back over the ocean.
