PMS/You say, "I'm a boy!"

From Create Your Own Story

"Oh, ha ha ha!" Aunt Maggie laughs. "Of course I knew you were a boy! Lighten up, kid. Now come on, let's go get you settled." She leads you through the small town to a nice little cottage beside the river. "It's not much," she says, opening the door and ushering you inside, "but I fixed up the spare room for you. It'll be nice to have another human to talk to. The pokemon are nice, but they're not big on conversation."

You stop dead. "Wait, you have pokemon?" you ask, looking around the house. It was a wild aron who wandered onto the tracks and derailed the train that killed your parents. Needless to say, you don't really like pokemon very much.

"Oh, they're out doing the chores," Aunt Maggie says. "You can meet them later. Go on to your room and make yourself at home. You're probably tired from the long trip."

You walk down the hall and into a small bedroom, the walls painted blue and a new blue comforter on the bed. There's also a computer and a gaming system, not that you know what to do with either of them. In the orphanage, the closest thing to a video game was a broken calculator one of the kids found in the street.

You put your clothes in the dresser, then sit down on the edge of the bed. It's very quiet in the house. Outside the window, you can hear all kinds of noises--squeaking, barking, yowling, and strange pokemon cries, along with the sound of kids laughing.
