Open the envelope and read the letter

You tear open the letter, eager, yet hesitant to see what you might find inside it. You tear the seal of the envelope taking note of the kiss mark on the envelope's front. However, the strange mark doesn't deter you from pulling out the envelope's contents and unfolding them to reveal a piece of notebook paper with a long message written on it. You begin to read the letter taking a seat on the librarian's cushioned chair.
"Hey Rose, can you take my shift for me today? I am having some serious problems. I'll tell you about him later. All I can say is that I'm really scared and work may not be the best idea today. He knows I work here. I'm heading to the police station right now, it might be the only place where I can get help. By the way, could you log into my account so that it looks like I was here? The password is "Distortion" Thanks! Lots of Love, Elizabeth"
You put the letter in your pocket, fearful. Could Elizabeth be in trouble? You wonder how old this letter was as you glance at the computer. You had her password now, you could log in and do some more investigating, or you could take what was possibly the most direct route to Elizabeth.
