You fire anyway at an officer down below. He is struggling to retrieve his sidearm from it's holster, and he is in panic. You take a shot aimed sqaurely at his head. The shot spreads his brains across the side of the truck.
"Hell of a shot!" Amir says, as he lifts the binoculars to his eyes. "Think you can hit that guy by the...?" He is cut short by a bullet passing through his head, followed shortly by the crack of the distant gunshot. Amir falls forward and motionless. You can see the massive exit wound at the back of his head, where the bullet left. You have alerted yourself to the enemy sniper, who you have no idea where he is. You bring your rifle up and look down the scope, desperately scanning the desert for any sign of the sniper. Just as you consider switching vantage points, a bullet pierces through your scope, through your eye, and into your brain. You slump over your rifle, and the enemy sniper is free to slaughter your comrades below.
