Chapter 19: Wedding bells are ringing
You invite all your family and friends for a gala wedding [your job as a computer programmer for EA pays well, plus it doesn't hurt to have THREE incomes in the household!] Your parents have recently passed on, but Maddie and Megan are anxious to help out. Britney brings her fiancee, Jake, with her -- they got engaged her senior year of high school, and will marry after they both finish college at Lafayette.
The ceremony is simple and short. The reception is held at a huge hotel with a giant dance floor. You dance with Laura, Chrissy, Megan, Maddie, Britney, Jake's mother, and an incredible number of female friends. There are games, a trivia contest, a dance contest [which Britney and Jake win], and everyone has a grand time.
Finally, after about 8 hours, the party breaks up. After cleaning up, Maddie, Megan, you, Laura, and Chrissy are left. Britney and Jake, about an hour and a half before, have gone back to their hotel. Your cordless phone rings. "Hello?" you say. "Hi, Sis," says Britney. "Jake and I still have energy. Want to go to a nightclub with us? Bring the rest of the family." "I don't know," you say. "The five of us were going to go get some food at Rocco's Steak House." "C'mon!," she says. "We'll go to Linda's and shoot pool. They have sandwiches there, you know." You consult quickly with the others, who are up for either. It's your call.
