There are just too many secrets in this case. You don't like secrets - especially if they involve people like Marty Riordan. Or maybe it's just something inside you that shies away from sinking to the level of a divorce dick - creeping around like a rat and taking photos. Whatever the reason is, you're having none of it.

'I'm sorry,' you say. 'I'm afraid I can't help you at the moment. Our firm is unusually busy at this time.'

'I apologize for wasting your time then,' the blonde says quietly, disappointment clear in her expression. 'I guess I'll have to look for another detective - someone who knows how to do business.' She drops her cigarette into the ashtray and heads for the door. You hate to see her leave, but with the way she sways her hips, you can't help but love watching her go. Marty Riordan follows behind her, shooting a suspicious glance in your direction.

Now you can get back to what you were doing: drinking and sulking, and waiting for a more profitable case.

So much for that knock-out blonde.
