Meet with the basketball team about their falling grades

From Create Your Own Story

"I'd like to meet with the team," you say.

"Very well," Brother Jerome intones. He guides Jessica out of the room.

You stride over to the gym and gather the members of the basketball team around you.

"Gentlemen," you say sternly, "playing basketball is a privilege. The reason you are in this school is to get an education." You go on for the next 15 minutes about the history of the Lasallian order, starting with Jean-Baptiste de la Salle, and how the order emphasizes education.

"For now, you may all stay on the team," you conclude. "But I simply must ask you to focus on your schoolwork. If you can't handle the demands of both studying and playing basketball, playing basketball is what will get dropped."

There are nods from the boys. "Good," you say. "Now, off you go. Study hard."

You return to your quarters.
