Maple: Ask Erybelle to go get some more while you deal with customers.

From Create Your Own Story

"Hey, Erybelle?" You interrupt her staring off into space as usual, "We're running low on cat mint, could you go get some more quickly? I promised a customer I'd make them a potion and be finished by lunch time so I'll need some more real soon."

Your best friend quickly agrees and eagerly rushes off to the nearby Church to get some for you and you smile as you watch her go. Erybelle is always so willing to help you and you honestly don't know what you would do without her. Leaning back against the tree you observe the scene around you through the long, swaying green branches. The town is oddly quiet today, in fact now that you think about it business had been a bit slower than usual today.

You think it may have something to do with the new Priest in town. He's a lot grumpier than the last one but apparently the previous Priest had to go to Rome or something. You don't really care since you don't have to go to church but earlier today the new Priest had come up to your table and slammed his bible down, disturbing the careful balance of energy (as Erybelle calls it) around you. You don't really believe in the whole 'energy balance' thing but when it's disturbed it upsets Erybelle, and no one upsets your friend. He started talking passionately about demons, witchcraft, and eternal damnation but all you could do was glare at him. He had upset Erybelle, your Erybelle. You were about to snap when your friend had laid a soft hand on your arm, shaking her head and giving you a meaningful look and you realized you had stood up. The Priest was looking at you too with a raised eyebrow. He still looked angry but at least he had shut up. Taking a deep breath you looked him straight in the eye, "Please leave." You said calmly, all the while glaring at him. He started to leave before turning back, "I'll be back," he said, "and when I am you will rue the day you refused to save your souls when you had the chance. You may be children but you are not exempt from the will of the Lord." Erybelle looked like she might cry and you had had enough. Standing up you screamed at him in a sudden release of fury, "I HOPE YOU DIE!" You screeched, "I HOPE YOU DIE AND NOBODY CARES!" Spitting in your direction the Priest stormed off, his handsome cape billowing in his wake. Erybelle was in tears an you quickly tried to reassure her. Some people were just so insensitive! Anyways, that was a while ago but some people must have heard the yelling which was most likely why business was slower.

You help only one customer before Erybelle returns with a good sized bundle of catmint.
