As one of the few humans who was born with a strong Spark, you have been gifted with the ability to use magic. You spent years studying at the Var Novis Academy of Wizardry, developing the skills and discipline to use and control your magical talent so that you didn't risk unintentionally hurting those around you with your power.
You take a deep breath in the cool morning air, feeling the burden of responsibility lifted from your shoulders for the first time in eight years. After all that time of intense practice and study, you are now free to chart your own course and seek your own opportunities.
You have thought about starting up a little magic shop or perhaps do something that involves working with Dragons and other magical beasts, but those ventures require money to fund... and you are practically broke from financing your own studies at the academy. You need a job if you are to start working towards your ambitions.
Luckily, the demand for trained magic users was high. Earning enough money to fund your first venture shouldn't be too hard...
You have two options for finding employment. You can either:
- Visit the Market Square and check the bulletins. The bulletin boards always have a few jobs or quests listed that provide reliable pay, but they tend to get taken quickly.
- Grab a drink at a nearby tavern. It might be that while you are downing a beer, you'll happen across someone who is in need of your talent. It might be more risky and you may end up on the wrong side of the law, but the pay is sure to be better.
In either case, the faster you earn back the money you spent on your studies, the better off you will be.
