You walk on until you pass a suitable spot in the woods to make your camp – a crack between two large upright stones, with a dirt clearing behind it. You throw your possessions through and then squeeze in after them. There is enough space to stretch out fully – you should have a peaceful night here.
The clouds cover the moon and it grows dark. You settle down with your head on your pack to rest. You manage an hour's sleep and then wake. Something is pacing outside your hiding place.
