You are flattered that you had attracted some attention so quickly. "Thank you sir, but the lady is right." Tera said turning her back on the gentleman and shifting herself toward the young redhead. "My name is Tera,.." you say to the girl. There are butterflies in your stomach. What the hell am I doing, you think. I came to find a guy...but she is pretty captivating.
She smiles, a knowing smile. "Hi Tera, such a pretty name. I'm Beth.." you can feel the guy behind you finally leave. "I had to save such a pretty woman from Dirk. He is a vulture .. albeit with good taste but still..” she says as she quite obviously checks you out.. “not deserving of someone like yourself. So, Tera…night out on the town…away from your husband? ,” taking a quick glance at your hand… “or not.”
You blush. “No, this is my first night back in the game so to speak after a messy divorce…” you go on about your children and life trying to keep it brief. You feel the butterflies spreading throughout your body as well as a comfortable air about Beth. You take a couple sips of your drink. Its fruity goodness seeps through your body, giving you a warm feeling, drowning out the butterflies. She pays close attention to you, her eyes fixed on you. You can’t shut up. You spill your whole life's sob story to her. You can't figure out why this is happening but it feels right. You finish the drink, which is automatically replaced by another.
Omg..why am I not shutting up....
She listens to whole thing, not taking her eyes off you. “Wow, I am really glad I was able to save you from another mistake,” as a wicked grin crosses her face. “Well…” she says after a brief pause, “you are going to have trust for this next part. In fact, you kinda owe me one. I am going to show you a fun evening. Let’s get on the dance floor.” She swallows the rest of second drink.
“Do you trust me…?”
