Look into the carriage for clues

“Look Captain Highmore, there’s the carriage!” you say as you dismount.
“Wait here while I go investigate,” he says as he pulls out his pistol. As he approaches the carriage, you see something suspicious near The Rising Sun. Why, it might be that pirate who almost kidnapped you! You run over to Captain Highmore just as he finishes inspecting the carriage. “There’s nothing here,” he tells you.
“But there is someone up there,” you whisper, pointing to The Rising Sun.
“I should take you home before this gets too dangerous,” he says. “I will alert the Commodore and someone else will take care of this.”
