The voice again, nearer this time, almost next to your ear. "Come now, girl. You certainly weren't this weak a few hours ago when you sent those men through the wall."

You frown, craning your neck around. Everything around you is darkness. A dream. It must be a dream. "What--"

"You don't remember?" The voice chortled, circling you, seemingly coming from everywhere at once. "I should remind you then...Or perhaps I should have you relive it?" A pause, and then with a small amount of glee, the voice spoke again. "Yes. Yes, I think I'll do that. Force you to relive the past. You may get a sense of your abilities that way."

The tone the voice carried, the unmitigated glee, chilled you down to the core. You are quite certain you don't want to relive anything while that voice is in charge.
