You nod to yourself and back away. You don't know what she's going to do to keep Miranda safe, but Jessica is your older sister. You're supposed to trust her.

Shutting the door behind you as you leave, you begin to walk aimlessly away from Chad's house. After a few minutes you find a small burger place and decide to grab a bite to eat. Sitting in front of your meal in a plastic seat, staring out into the sunlight beyond the window, you second guess yourself endlessly. You should have taken them both home. You should have never got them involved with Chad in the first place... or maybe you should have stayed to watch. Or worse...

Trying to distract yourself, you pull out your phone. It's barely been twenty minutes. Time never seems to work properly when you're waiting.
