On the spur of the moment, you lean in and give her a quick peck on the lips. She blushes, a hand going up to touch her lips, staring at you in shock. By now, you're also blushing. "I'm so so so sorry, I didn't know where that came from. I really didn't mean for that to happen," you apologise breathlessly.

She shakes her head. "It's fine." She looks uncomfortable still, so you smile sheepishly and ask, "Do you want a hug?"

She laughs, nodding, and hugs you close, a little teary eyed. You notice and gasp. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!"

She wipes at her eyes again, laughing. "No, no, it's not that now. There's been something I've wanted to tell you for a while now...but, I'm worried it might ruin our relationship. So I'm just scared."

"Shoot," you say, looking in her eyes for some sort of hint as to what she wanted to tell you. "I promise you, whatever you say won't ruin our friendship. I've known you since...what, sixth grade? And we haven't even fought once. I don't think anything could rip us apart, so just go for it."

She sat there thinking for a moment. "I think...it's something that's hard to put into words," she stated, smiling a bit now.

She kisses you all of a sudden, and you think you understand, finally.
