Kill the guard

You leap at the guard and slit his throat with your rapier. He collapses in a pool of blood. You grab his keychain and test the keys one by one in the cell door.

"Ah, my father sends you?" asks Edward the Red calmly, his voice a lazy drawl.

"Yes, we're getting you out of here. Which key is it?"

"How should I know?" says Edward with an indifferent shrug. "Never noticed."

Another guard on patrol turns a corner. He immediately notices his colleague's corpse, then you and your men. With a gasp, he disappears from view and screams : "Intruders! Somebody help!"

"Better hurry up," mutters Edward.

"Thank you, I'm trying," you say, exasperated, as you try yet another key.

Too late! Just as you manage to find the right key to open the cell door, several guards arrive from both sides of the corridor, their muskets pointed at you. When they see their dead colleague, they don't even bother arresting you... They open fire in unison, instantly killing all six of you before you can even draw a weapon.
