A man you've never met before comes striding up to your desk with a stack of manila folders. He drops the stack in front of you and peers at you over the tops of his dark sunglasses.
"Hey, buddy!" he says. "I know you'll do me a favor and Xerox all this crap for me and drop it by my office later. Right, buddy? Of course you will, 'cause you're my pal! Catch you later, buddy!"
He goes sauntering off. You have no idea who he is.
