Kate wakes up in the hospital

Kate's mind is a blur, her head pounding as she struggles to remember how she got here. But the last thing she can remember is leaving her room to get a coke. Her T-shirt is gone, and she's been dressed in a hospital gown. Thick bandages cover her feet, and they too are throbbing. How long have I been here she wonders? What happened? "Hello?" she calls out in the quiet of the hospital ward. There is no answer. Looking around again she notices the call button dangling near her shoulder.
