Invisible/Guy: Let Myra go

From Create Your Own Story

You don't want to attract attention to yourself, so you back away. Myra walks over to Miss Bell. "I'm all right," she says.

"Good," Miss Bell replies. "Go on, then." She gives Myra a smile and heads back to her classroom.

You watch Myra walk off. Just as she rounds the corner, you see very chubby, very nerdy Myrtle walking slowly down the hall, crying again. She cries a lot, but it seems bad things happen to her. "I can't believe my car broke down," she wails softly, covering her face. "Now I'm late for class!"

Myrtle's mother is a teacher and drives in with Myrtle. You briefly wonder what her students thought when she was late to teach this morning, but Myrtle's wails approach you. You don't even think Myrtle has ever been kissed, and you wonder if she could use some action to cheer her up. Her Coke-bottle glasses are dripping with tears and her raggedy mousy-brown hair is a mess.
