"He wasn't exactly a friend," Daryl answers. "I saw him around a few times."
"How was he killed?" you ask.
"Pushed face first down a flight of stairs," Daryl says. "At least, that's how it looked to me. The police say somebody could have beaten him up first."
You start to ask another question, but Daryl cuts you off. "I hate to leave such a beautiful detective," he says, "but I've got a hot grill waiting for me. See you around, okay?"
You say your goodbyes and leave the diner.
