From Create Your Own Story
The news was everywhere. It was hard not to notice. The TVs in the office you work at as a janitor were all tuned into it all day, but everyone kept working anyway because either everyone either didn't believe it or they didn't know what else to do just then.
They read off names of missing people, and some stations kept tabs on the looting and violence, and those few groups that had already started making their power grabs in the absence of police. The corporation you worked for, NARCorp, was one such group. They beefed up and armed the security outside their buildings to secure their control over their property.
The news was still going when you got home from work at the usual time, and they were talking about a group, M.N. Technical, that set up shelters and was bringing in one individual chosen by lottery and a handful of their friends and family per shelter, to live alongside 14 other chosen individuals and their friends and family.
The whole day, not just your job but the news and the implications, whether it was real or a hoax, tired you out. You resolve to figure things out the next morning.
You wake up the next morning with a clearer head and a better idea of how you should go about things.
What do you do?
