You spring into action! You sneak around the side of the crates, keeping yourself in the shadows and keeping Minas directly between you and Pluzo, so that he doesn't see you. You jump up onto the hyena's back, quickly reaching around his neck and slicing your knife right across his jugular vein with a satisfying squelch. The hyena immediately lets go of Tara and staggers as he tries in vain to catch his breath. You stay on his back for a moment to keep yourself hidden from the other hyena.
"Dammit!", Pluzo shouts. You hear the sound of a sword being unsheathed - something you hadn't counted on. You drop to the floor and look up at him, the hyena already bearing down on you. He's fast. Too fast. You slip in the pool of blood left by Minas, and Pluzo's sword slices down onto your chest, the sheer weight of the weapon and the hyena's prodigious strength shattering your ribs. He then puts his boot against your neck. "Bad move, raccoon!" He then steps down and crushes your windpipe, and stabs you in the chest.
As your vision fades, you watch Pluzo pick up Tara and sling her over his shoulder, then disappear down a hallway. And your last thought is of what horrible things he and his pack might do to her.
