He leads you down a flight of stairs into a basement apartment, leads you into the bedroom, closes the door behind you, and sits down on the bed. "When I was younger, my parents rented this out, but now it's mine," he tells you. His tone reminds you of when you thought he was nice but kind of shy. "Now, before we get started, we might as well discuss terms. Sit down." He pats the bed next to him. You can't help but notice the video camera hanging from the ceiling aimed at the bed.
