Fire at a solider beside the tank

You line up a shot on a Soviet jogging briskly by the tank. He is parallel and slightly in front of the tracked vehicle. You aim for the center mass, and your shot strays a little, striking him in the chest. He falls down and to the side. His head is crushed into a bloody pulp by the massive armored vehicle's treads. The other men running by him are horrified, missing the fact that he was shot. The tank stops, and the hatch opens. The driver shouts something to the men beside his tank. "Did we hit something?"
Before the 'accident' could be explained, the jeep upfront was struck with an RPG, obliterating the men inside it. The tank commander froze up in all the confusion and panic, and was hit by one of the many rounds fired at the tank's general area. The men around it took cover and returned fire as the dead tank driver slid back into the tank. Your allies on the hill began lobbing grenades at the men below them, and one of them, by luck, bounced off the tank's open hatch, and into the tank. The tank crew inside could be heard shouting for about a second before the muffled explosion, at which point the only sounds were those of gunfire and shouting of orders.
The fear was too much for one Soviet, who dropped his weapon and sprinted off down the road. Your allies were busy firing on the men using the tank as cover, and paid no attention to the man fleeing the battle.
