You crawl to the front seat. The keys are in the ignition, a blessing as you don't have to look for them.

You settle yourself in the seat, buckle your seatbelt and start the engine. You drive as fast as you can away from Monroeville.

By the time the car runs out of gas, the sun is rising. You've reached a town a couple of hundred miles away.

You check into a hospital for an hour or so to have your foot stitched, and then start your new life... always on the alert for the spread of the vampire menace.
