Enter the mysterious passage

You take a deep breath. This is what you've been waiting for your whole life. A chance to experience real adventures for yourself instead of just playing video games. You step into the narrow tunnel.
There's just enough room for you and your backpack. Your flashlight is in your right hand, and your revolver is tucked into the waistband of your low-cut pants. You shine your light on the walls. The ancient stones look like they have been undisturbed for hundreds of years.
Not long after you turn the sharp corner, the last of the sunlight disappears. You click off your flashlight as an experiment. It is pitch black. Not dark like in your house at night, but completely, totally black. You turn your light back on, check to make sure the spare batteries are still in your backpack, and continue on.
After about fifty yards, the passage forks. You shine your flashlight around. The paths look identical, lined with more of the same ancient stone walls. There are also two figures carved into the rock. To the left is an image of a warrior using a sword to decapitate an enemy soldier. To the right is a carving of a blood priest performing a human sacrifice on a young woman.
