Dump glitter powder into the water and row towards the beach

Deciding to act quickly, you grab your hefty pouch of glitter powder and dump it out over the side of the railing. You remember getting it from a shady-type wizard before you started your adventure. Planing to put it in explosives to make your own flash bang grenades, you'll have to make due later. Watching the powder disperse in the water, it seems to have worked better than you could imagine. Creating a twenty foot cloud around your boat, you are almost blinded yourself watching the sun reflect off of it. Realizing it must be just as dazzling underwater, you begin to row towards shore. You pump your paddles as hard as you arms can take you and make great headway towards the shore. Unfortunately, this has the added effect of dispersing the blinding cloud out in a trail behind you. While it hasn't decreased much in potency, it has left a visible trail behind you betraying your location.
Almost to the shore, you are unsure of what action to take. You also remain nervous about not knowing where the Squid girl is.
Suddenly a figure breaks the surface back near your original cloud. The Squid girl pops up, coughing and spluttering while covered in glitter. She tries to say something but continues to choke on the glitter.
Sensing your chance, you row again towards the beachhead. Given your headstart, you are confident you can make it before she could intercept. You feel a little bad as you row away, but feel worse for the fish that frequent the shallows.
Scraping along the sand, you leap from your boat and travel a safe distance inland. Unable to see the Monster girl, but also unable to see how see could get to you, you let out a relaxed sigh.
