Opening the hold with the flick of a switch, you drop your cargo of guns and ammunition; they can be retrieved later, if they can be found. Right now you need to save your life, because the German anti-aircraft guns are shooting at you. Your gas tank has been hit, and at this rate you certainly won't have enough fuel left to reach the drop zone and meet the resistants.
