You have Chosen the Burning embers of the United States. This nation was attacked by Japan in 1936, an event which destroyed everything from the west coast to the Rocky Mountains. Nobody saw it coming until it was too late. The fog rolled in, nothing unusual for the west coast, but then the screeches and clanking came in. The military began to fight back just as the VapourGaunt forces crossed the Rockies. The war went on for three years, ending mere months before the war in Europe began. President Roosevelt was assassinated in '37, when the White house was bombed by a radical republican sub-faction. Other prominent politicians on both sides also were found dead. In 1938, the government collapsed, but not the military. With Patton in control, the army drove off the Japanese with innovative uses of radiation weapons and nuclear devices.

After the collapse, a number of new parties formed, shouting over one another, vying for power. The Bull Moose party returned, as well as the parties Green, New England Tea, Texan Populist, Mid-western Populist, Christian Republic, Anarchist, Patton, and Gulf Democrat. Each party had its own front runners for president of the new world order. Whoever you, reader, choose will become the president and will write the new constitution of the United States and will bring the Americas into a new age of technology and culture. In addition to that, the man or woman you choose will bring America into the war (or maybe not). This will change the course of history.
