Nightfall has come, and the jungle is almost impenetrable. However, you somehow manage to navigate through the gigantic trees and tropical bushes long enough to find a perfect little spot. A glade, next to a river with flowing freshwater, with high ground in case of flooding or rain. There's a big, hollow tree with seemingly no insects living in it. A perfect place for you to crawl inside and sleep for at least one night.
And, after pouring some dry leaves on the floor of the tree, that's exactly what you do. The tree is less comfortable than sleeping on the sand, but it feels a lot more safe. The fact that there's a source of drinkable water just a few meters away contributes to the feeling of safety. You quickly fall asleep, ready for whatever the world might throw at you later on.
Or at least you thought so, until you woke up in the middle of the night by the worst pain you've ever felt in your leg. Opening your eyes, you're able to find that a massive crocodile has bitten onto your leg, and is forcefully dragging you out of the tree, down towards the river. It's so dark that you must've missed it earlier, and crocodiles are known for being stealthy (or at least you think they are).
