D&D : Jump up on them and excitedly ask if you can join them on their next adventure.

From Create Your Own Story

Seeing your chance to finally experience real adventures right in front of your eyes, you charge at them with a speed that causes them to draw their weapons startled and prepare to defend themselves. Stopping and bowing right in front of them, you yell, "Please let me join your party on your next quest against evil!" Since you're bowing down, you never see the mixture of horror and surprise on their faces turn into incredulous looks and barely contained laughter.

The rogue speaks up first. "Hmm, an elf in armor and a greatsword. Are you.. a fighter?"

The amused sparkle in his eyes is completely lost on you as you quickly reply, "I'm a paladin mister rogue!"

He's definitely having trouble containing his laughter. You innocently stare at him, making it worse, but the dwarf comes to his rescue.

"Can you actually use dat sword there?" he asks, frowning. This time you understand fully his desire to test your mettle before allowing you into the party.

"I'd be glad to show you in a sparring match anytime mister dwarf!" You yelp in a high-pitched voice. He mistakes your enthusiasm for a challenge and readies his large round shield and waraxe.

You whip out your massive greatsword with a practiced ease that definitely surprises all of them and the laughter dies down as you adopt a ready stance.

D&D : Duel the dwarf defensively and give him a taste of your skill and strength without actually trying to harm him.

Duel the dwarf seriously and go all out against him.
