D&D: Wait for the first match to be made.

From Create Your Own Story

Lobran takes his hammer and swings it in the air, calling out his first challenge toward Andin in an indignant rage. Lobran is an average dwarf, said to take to some metal work with an impractical hammer, insisting he has the gift of his ancestors to guide his poor works of craftsmanship. It is no secret that he would starve without the funding he gains from this arena. Andin on the other hand is a wealthy but bored nobleman's son, he has had his share of injury from the matches here but with a light sense of humor and an undaunted good nature, he returns with little complaint for the "Enjoyment of the sport"

The match is made, the bets are placed, and the challengers face one another in the center of the ring, Andin taking a bow with his rapier.

"Git yer pansy arse up and look'it me!" the dwarf spits. The ensuing fight is a comical display of Andin keeping his distance

Andin takes several blows to his shoulder as the dwarf reaches after his head, but the strikes graze off for the lack of target, dealing minimal damage. The rapier takes it's toll on the Dwarf with a series of punctures to his thick body and loose chainmail, with a growl the dwarf smashes after Andin's feet which causes him to step speedily away.

"Quit yer dancin' aroun' like a pixie and face me like a man ye blasted human!" With a missed swing, the dwarf spins and exposes his side, to which Andin takes the opportunity to stab his weapon arm, which promptly goes limp and drops the hammer.

"Gharh! Ye kill'd my arm ye blasted nancy boy!" Taking no shortage of breathes, Andin rubs his bruised shoulders and takes a bow, carrying the hammer out beside Lobran, who is offered the loser's Cure potion.

The bets are distributed and the winnings are collected, it is time for the next match.
