D&D: The chalice seeker: Day 1 ; Valan and Nieva: Randall invites them to his booth
From Create Your Own Story
Randall opens his arm invitingly. The booth is somewhat private and a curtain can be placed around it to add some privacy, although the curtain dosn't go all the way down. and barely blocks the noise. Nonetheless, the tavern is loud enough that it shouldn't be a problem.
Valan sits on his left and Nieva sits in front of Valan, at the right of Randall.
Randall: "So what can I do for you ? I heard you had an encounter with the flames down in the south."
Nieva: "We've lost their track a few Alms back. They should be losing their way somewhere in the cloakwoods right now."
Randall: "I see."
Valan: "The congregation sent us to recover the compass from a man named Elsios. Know anything that can help us ?"
Nieva: "Anything you can tell us will be most welcome" she adds with a smile. Valan notices Randall's face changes as Nieva got a bit closer to him. Her hand slowly starts caressing his knee underneath the table. Randall smiles a little at Nieva and turns back to Valan.
Randall: "I know the guy. Eccentric noble from waterdeep. Lives in a manor a bit outside of town. Probably dosn't even know what he's got."
Valan: "That aid our design. We need to free it from him as soon as possible. What else ?"
Nieva slip under the table while they talk
Randall: "Well he spend the end of the weeks in his manor. The place is usually well guarded then. Unless you plan on infiltrating, I would say avoid going there then. Less protection. You can bet though that there will be some security measures on some of his collections."
Valan: "We got that covered recently."
Randall: "Yes. Your party is considerably bigger then the last time you came to visit me."
Valan: "More allies for the task. For now. Is that all you can tell us ?"
Randall: "Not much more. But there is a guy in the city. He goes by the name of Sudar. You can find him at the docks near the Woodanchor quay. I'm sure he could tell you more about the guy and how to aproach him."
