D&D: Nah, just head on out
From Create Your Own Story
You scoff at the guard "I can handle myself, thank you" and pass him along and into the wild.
Traveling over plains, brush, and rivers, there's actually little sign of any life at all for a good number of miles. Taking a drink from a stream, you wipe a hand over your mouth and forehead when you see it; a small footprint. You're not one for proper tracking, but such an obvious clue seems to be pointing to a very clear direction, one you no doubt can use to your advantage. You head off after the track's direction, a broken twig, a muddy print on a rock, you are positive that the kobolds are this way, and as you cross over a hill, you see them!
Several Kobolds lie prone in rock crops, blending it well enough to hide from the caravan ahead, and one of them cross around a rock to your side just before you lose sight of it. You have the advantage, they're exposed from behind and now you know of at least one more that is hiding from You, but there are about seven of them. You consider your options for the moment, they haven't all noticed you yet, but if you don't do something they're going to attack you or the merchants up ahead!
D&D: Sneak up on the ones trying to ambush you first, try to take out as many in silence as possible
