Climb down the cliff

You work your way to the cliff face, then move onto the cliff face. Your heels can't get a grip, and you suddenly find yourself dangling by your hands. You kick your heels off, and watch them fall away, hoping you can find them later. You then grasp some rough knobs of rocks with your bare toes.
You climb down the cliff face, one agonizing foot at a time. Several hours later, you arrive at the base of the cliff. Your clothes are a tattered mess, and they do a poor job of covering you. You rearrange them as best you can, but you're still hanging out of them all over. Despite their state of disrepair, you hang onto them
You look around, but can't tell where you are. What you can see is a large, open field, covered in rocks. There's a treeline just past the rocks. The wreckage of the John's car is nearby.
Do you:
- Go looking for your heels
- Search the car wreckage for something useful
- Explore along the cliff face, looking for a way up
- Explore the rock field and treeline
