"You're a barrel of laughs, aren't you?" you snicker sarcastically and take a seat next to the dwarf in front of the fireplace. "What's your name, old man?".
"Ongrol." he grunts in response, biting on one of the coins to see whether it's real or not. "I've had bad luck with people renting rooms here before, so I've all right to be suspicious.".
"I don't think I've ever seen a dwarf before. But I've heard you live underground. What made you come to a city in the desert?".
He looks at you for a moment, then replies: "I was banished from my home under the mountains. Travelled around a bit before finally settling down in this cesspool. Must have been eighty years ago...".
"Why were you banished?".
"I fucked the king's eldest daughter." he grins mischievously. "I was her personal guard, and we got close to one another after all those years.". He pauses for a moment and shudders. "... Oooh, she had legs like you wouldn't believe. Smooth and thick, and with a plump ass that jiggled everytime I thrusted into her. And big, long braids that she wanted me to pull when I took her from behind-...".
He shakes his head abruptly before continuing eagerly: "Anyways, her mother walked in on us one day. We probably would have gotten away with it if I hadn't propositioned her for a threesome. But I did, and she told the king, who disowned the daughter and had me banished from the mountain.
"That's all?" you reply, surprised. "If an orc sleeps with his chief's mate, he gets his head chopped off."
"Having to live on the surface is worse than death, and he knew it!" the dwarf sneers with disgust. "I hate sunlight, the fresh air makes me dizzy and the open sky makes me paranoid. Why do you think I live in this cramped one-room house?".
He doesn't speak afterwards. He just stares into the fireplace with bitterness and contempt. And after a minute of awkward silence, you decide to:
