Charge the Far Archer

From Create Your Own Story

I'm tired of dodging your arrows, and I disengaged from the bloodied archer I slipped underneath the axeman's wild swing as I rushed across the battlefield towards the other archer. He attempted to prime another arrow to loose at me, but I gave him no opening to do so as I freed him of his grip on his bow with a slice to his left arm. In a maddened effort, he tried to use his other arm to stab the arrow at my eyes, but my sword thrusts saw an en end to that. He collapsed onto the ground lifeless; his lifeblood seeped out into the surrounding earth. +4 health.

I almost didn't hear the axeman's swing over the pounding of blood in my ear. I weaved out at the last second, the swing from his axe clipping the edge of my back. -2 health. I rounded on the axeman, ducking down and then springing up with my blade and burying it deep into his neck. A comical mixture of surprise and pain fixed upon his face as he gargled out his last. +4 health.

The bloodied archer attempted to flee, but he stumbled in his panicked state and I caught up to him in moments. He had time only to cry out in fear as he rolled around to face me, his hands flying upwards as if to shield him. I drove the point of my sword squarely into his heart. +1 health.

Blood stained my clothes, and a distant part of me, the part that bothered with appearances, was deeply disgusted. But not enough of me cared as I dined upon their remains.

It's been so long since I've tasted the sweet tang of blood. Though these sour men were no fine course meal, they would do quite nicely.
