Change into a dress

You decide to change into your only dress. Its pale purple color really brings out your eyes and it was probably quite pretty when new, but it's about forty years out of style and doesn't flatter your figure much. Still, it's the most modest piece of clothing you own, it's fairly clean and looks respectable enough.
With a sigh you open your coin pouch and count out the measly ten pfenniges that are all your worldly wealth (you don't even know what a florin looks like). The little burglars-in-training downstairs didn't steal anything during the night, so you consider this day to have gotten off to a good start.
You briefly consider leaving by the window, to avoid your quarreling cohabitants, but you're afraid of ripping your dress, so you head for the stairs.
As you're leaving, you nearly trip over the rock that nearly killed you this morning. Your nostrils flare as you remember your rude wake-up call.
