Break a window and head for the bedroom

You sneak up to the first house in a row of more or less identical middle-class dwellings.
You see movement on the upper floor, and you saw the husband leave just minutes ago, so with any luck the only resident is female.
The window is clearly labelled with an alarm system. This might be a problem, but you know many alarm systems aren't working properly if they aren't outright fakes. Even if the alarm works, you might sneak in some quick nookie before the pay cops arrive.
You:
- Break the window as quietly as possible
- Err on the side of caution and move to the next house
- Hide in the bushes to jump the woman as soon as she walks outside
- Instead simply knock on the door
