BD/A young green dragon, captured at the edge of the Dragon Lord's territory

From Create Your Own Story

You quake with fear, your head and tail down, trying to make yourself look as small and not worth bothering with as you can, as you shuffle along with the other captives. You didn't mean to trespass onto the Dragon Lord's territory, you were just pursuing a doe -- the first prey you'd seen in days -- and weren't paying attention. Now your left front leg is hobbled to your back right and a rope is wrapped around your long snout, preventing you from opening your jaws. To make matters worse, the doe got away and the Dragon Lord's human slaves didn't offer you so much as a drink of water.

You glance up as you enter a large and formidable den, built out of solid stone blocks but the Dragon Lord's slaves, you suppose. The air is warm and dry to prevent scale rot, the floor covered in soft sand to prevent your talons from becoming ground down and dull. It's a perfect den. You pause outside a pair of doors and cower at the sight of the deep gouges carved into the wood -- the marks of a large and powerful dragon.

The Dragon Lord's slaves open the doors and motion you to go through. You follow the other captives into a huge chamber, where the ropes are removed from your snout and ankles. The humans leave, closing the doors behind them. Lifting your head so you can see over the others, you look around. The room is strewn with cushions, where a few humans and other human-like creatures sit, some of them sipping from cups that smell of fermented fruit. One of the humans walks over to you and begins to speak. You know very little of the human language, but you think she is welcoming you and warning you all to do as the Dragon Lord wants or risk being eaten. Like you didn't know that already. You might be young for a dragon, only five hundred years old, but you're not stupid. There's only one reason for a Dragon Lord to keep such a large and diverse group of creatures.
