You swing your hatchet in a horizontal plane at shoulder height, trying to decapitate the slightly shorter Marie.
Unfortunately, she had anticipated that and ducks neatly under your swing. Her knife flashes upwards, slicing open your throat.
Your hatchet tumbles from your grasp as you fall to the ground. Marie whispers, "I'll be merciful."
She picks up your hatchet and separates your head from your body with one blow.
