"Alex...is there anything I can do to help you get this promotion?" You sit down next to him.
He shakes his head. "You don't need to do anything, Ali. I just need to try to get Harry to give me a little more time to pay him back, or find a way to pay him within the week. I could work overtime some more, maybe sell some stuff..." He puts his arm around you and hugs you. "We'll be fine. I'll figure it out."
"So Harry's the man with the sunglasses? You don't need to worry about these things all by yourself, you know," you comment. "I have a job too, I can help."
Alex thinks for a moment. "Well, if you could make a little extra money at work...every bit helps in paying Harry back. But I don't want you to stress out about it."
You smile at him. "No problem."
