Having previous stated that there was something alive in the trash compactor, Luke's suspicions are well founded as that something suddenly grabs hold of both of his ankles, causing Luke to scream for help, as he was are pulled underwater. Once submerged in the murky substances in the trash compactor and out of the sight of his companions who were desperately searching for him,the Dianoga uses his tentacles to drag its prize out of the trash compact via a service shaft to it's dry nest located, in the bowels of the death star itself.
Once secure inside it's nest, the creature uses several of its many tentacles to divest Luke of both his armour and undergarments, before they grabbed all of his limbs leaving him firmly secured in their grasp in a spread-eagle position on the floor of the nest, completely vulnerable to the wicked intentions of the beast itself.
